Skyrail, Didgeridoo And Scenic Railway - Kuranda, Queensland

We then headed to the tropical north of Queensland. First off was Kuranda. Although you could simply drive to Kuranda, we opted to take the Skyrail over the rainforest and the Kuranda Scenic Railway through the mountains. In order to actually see the rainforest and mountains this was the best option.

Skyrail stops in the middle of the rainforest for a quick tour of the rainforest.

Back on Skyrail on route to Kuranda.

While in Kuranda we came across a unique didgeridoo. We met the artist, Jim “Boonger” Edwards. He attempted to teach Greg how to play the didg and signed the instrument for us as well.

Kuranda Scenic Railway. Built in the late 1800's for hydro purposes, the trip takes you over the mountain and pass a wonderful waterfall.

View from the train. Absolutely gorgeous!

The train had open windows so you could stick you camera out to take pretty cool photos.
